Cosmelan md PEEL
Cosmelan MD is a two-step intensive topical treatment used to reduce and regulate benign stubborn and dense pigmentation of the skin. The most common uses are for reduction of hyperpigmentation caused by melasma, sun damage, or agingIf you are bothered by hyperpigmentation caused by melasma, this is the treatment for you! However, if you are pregnant or nursing, I cannot do this treatment for you.Active ingredients in Cosmelan MD include hydroquinone, retinoic acid, azelaic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, phytic acid, and ascorbic acid. Cosmelan MD contains substances that inhibit tyrosinase, an enzyme the skin uses to make melanin (pigment). The retinoic acid increases cell turnover, which not only sheds the darker skin cells but brings out new cells more quickly. Cosmelan MD contains prescription ingredients and can only be dispensed by a licensed medical professional.-
Your first appointment will be a consultation and treatment, which is simply the application of the topical cream. I will give you all the post-treatment instructions and products needed for aftercare. The treatment will remain on your skin for 6-8 hours depending on your skin type. Your second treatment will be scheduled for approximately 30 days later.

You must have 7-10 days following treatment for downtime, including no sun exposure at all. You will be given instructions regarding the correct products to apply for 6 months. Do not get another treatment or procedure (including peels, facials, or microdermabrasion) on the treated area for 30 days following Cosmelan MD application. After a few days you will notice skin blemishes fading, and a brighter skin complexion breaking through. After a couple of weeks, the skin will start to take on a shiny, healthier glow. Full results are typically seen after 4-6 weeks.
